Perfect functioning thanks to the innovative channel designThe flow system is a world first. Fresh brake fluid circulates right round both pistons on filling and bleeding. In contrast to conventional channels, in which the two piston chambers form a dead-end where air bubbles or old brake fluid collect permanently, the pistons in CLEG 2 are completely flushed with fluid. This ensures simple and complete bleeding and really fresh brake fluid, even in the furthest corner.
Made in GermanyAll CNC parts (pump housing, lever, clamp, brake caliper halfes, rotors, bolts) are produced in small series in the Black Forest. Development, assembly and quality control all take place in Freiburg. Made in Germany on Trickstuff, means real Made in Southwest Germany inside!
Wide application spectrum: from CC to DHThe brakes can be combined with disc diameters ranging from 140 mm (rear only) up to 203 mm and so can be used as extreme CC brakes right through to downhill brakes.
Individual not run-of-the-millCLEG is not only better but different too. Where else can you choose between nine colours, the right brake fluid, the right disc diameter, the right brake hoses (Goodridge steel hose or lightweight Kevlar, if wished, in the precise length required) ?
Only the bestCLEG brakes aren’t cheap. So you have a right to expect that only the finest components are used. Even the Kevlar-reinforced hoses (yes, they’re light but still have an agreeably hard pressure point!) are combined with a reusable stainless steel Goodridge fittings.
Simple is saferWe deliberately dispense with any pressure point adjustment, which in reality is just a dead stroke adjustment. That would be a feature which, in our opinion, no one needs. That makes the BMC heavier and more complicated. With the CLEG 2 a simple lever reach adjustment is all it takes – small, uncomplicated, reliable.
For purists and light constructions: IS
CLEG 2 is the only brake in the world that is also available in an IS version (International Standard 2000). For purists who want to see an IS caliper on an IS mount on the forks or rear – so that things that belong together stay together. And for fans of light constructions, who are keen to save 46 grams (in comparison to PM calipers with adapters and screws). For people with the time and patience to center out IS calipers. But then that’s not so difficult ;-)

Our CLEG users have the choice: Short brake lever? Long lever? Both is possible, every version has its pro’s. But to have the choice is a unique option – to be found at TRICKSTUFF only!
CLEG 2 or CLEG 4 – which one to choose?
Thus we could tune both brakes to deliver the same brake force under a given hand force. It’s up to you:
You prefer low weight, your cross country handle bar does not offer lots of space, you mount the shifters inside the brake master cylinder, you love to have the best available modulation with a clearly defined pressure point and high performance? CLEG 2!
You accept 15 grams more per brake, your handle bar is wide enough, you mount the shifters outboard, you love to have the hardest bite possible? CLEG 4!
Both levers, the short and the long ones, offer more and softer contoured finger surface and better power transfer than the CLEG levers of the first and second generation.

Even the CLEG 2 can be equipped with the long levers what increases its brake force by additional 13 percent.
